2012 was a banner year for the small Ukrainian community of Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia: its centennial anniversary. Special events took place throughout the year and, once again, The Word & Image Studio was involved in writing & design projects in support of the occasion and in collaboration with Dr. Marcia Ostashewski, the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Parish and Cape Breton University: signage for an exhibition at The Lyceum in Sydney, souvenir posters, postcards and promotional materials for other special events including a concert, music workshop, book launches in Sydney, Nova Scotia and Edmonton, Alberta, as well as website art.
